Technician Class licensing class in March

Have you wanted to get your Technician Class amateur radio license, but you need a more formal study environment? The Pelican Bay Amateur Radio Club will put on a 4-day class in early March, ahead of our normal license testing session on March 19th. The class materials are free, but the testing sessions will cost $14.

The Technician Class study sessions will be held at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane (behind the Subway sandwich shop). The classes will be held from 1-6 PM on March 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th (the first two weekends in March).

The testing session will be the following Saturday, in the morning, starting at 9:30 am on March 19th. (If you are prepared to take tests for additional levels (General, Extra), you can do that at the test session as well, but the class will only be covering the Technician Class level question pool.)

Participants and instructors will need to comply with any COVID protocols in place at the center on the class and testing dates. Please come prepared by bringing a mask (in case), and you may want a snack or something to drink (no alcohol!). We will have some bottled water.

If you want to participate, please send email to classes at pelicanbayarc.com, and we’ll reply with the study materials. We’ll only use your email address to let you know about the classes, and in case we need to cancel a session (we’d want to let you know ASAP, and try to save you a trip).
