While we have training sessions, technical meetings, Club Business meetings. But the Breakfast Meeting on Friday mornings is meant to be a social gathers of friends, many of whom carry radios.

Field Day is an annual event encouraging Ham Radio Operators to set up their radios someplace not at home. It’s an exercise to see if we can set up our gear during/after an emergency, and make it work, and pass useful information. Even when things don’t work as planned, we learn things, and become better prepared.

The annual Azalea Festival and Parade were postponed from the Memorial Day weekend until mid-July, but it did occur with everyone taking safety precautions, and the help of MANY volunteers, including the Pelican Bay Amateur Radio Club.
